Welcome
Hello, Edmonds - Shoreline visitors!
Our family consists of five generations of Washingtonians, who spent their lives in several counties including; King, Kittitas, and Snohomish Counties.
Graduating from Seattle's Nathan Hale, and Cle Elum High School, bucking hay bales in Ellensburg during the summer, and fighting fires with the "Hot Shot" crew in Entiat, WA - we've worked hard to raise our family.
We have recently moved to Texas. Our grandson needed to be near a specialized children's hospital, and with extended family and good friends close by, Houston Children's was our answer. We enjoy the warmer climate, but we miss beachcombing along the Edmonds shoreline. The rest of our family remains within "shouting distance" of our favorite beaches along Puget Sound, and that makes us happy. Our beach memories continue to grow, now on two different oceans.
Phil Mayer, my husband, spent several years in Edmonds as a volunteer beach docent. We would bring our daughters down to the beach frequently and reveled in teaching them the names of all of the sea creatures we found. From moon snails to sea stars, we're looking forward to sharing our knowledge with you.
Texas has long beaches to walk along, too. I enjoy the soft beige sand and the scent of the warm Gulf water. But in my mind, I'm thinking of the beach in Edmonds. My heart still listens for the seagulls of Edmonds.
